Also known as Gear Acquisition Syndrome which is, well, the urge to acquire a new gear mainly because of the newer experience it brings to the user (be it the the latest cutting-edge technology, or simply just a set of newer features); this is synonymous to
impluse buy. The benefits usually outweighs the cons - or so what the user thought...
I've gotten myself a new camera over the holiday season. It's compact and it's mirrorless (whatever that means). This was all inevitable - I've always wanted a smaller camera, which correlates to smaller lenses, which I can carry around without causing too much attention primarily when I do street photgraphy and while travelling. Not to mention that I also freed myself neck and shoulders from straining over a limited period of time carrying the camera and other gears when I'm out there
shooting people. This sums up the pros.
The only bad that I can see though is the limited range of lenses available for this system. Unless you are open-minded to the idea of using lens adapters that gives the ability to mount other lens system then you should have a vast range of options.

Hopefully this will keep me contented in the following years - or until a better one enters the market.
